There are some people in this world that make an impact on others wherever they go. That was Dick Baron. He was a lover of people, the constant coach, an encourager, and he was always pushing people to give their best. He was a family man through and through! Nothing mattered to him more than his wife, kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids, but the Browns, Indians, Cavs and Buckeyes were pretty important too! When people needed advice, they would go to Dick. He loved people and loved seeing them live up to their potential. The greatest of his loves was his wife of 70 years, Tootie, who passed 2 years ago. He was dearly loved by his kids, Jim (Jenny) Baron, Bill (Kathy) Baron, Ann (Dave) Wilson and deceased daughter, Barbara (Dave) Pelletier. He loved his 12 grandsons and their wives, and his 26 great-grandchildren. Dick grew up in Fremont, Ohio and was the 4th of 5 kids. He was a great athlete at Fremont High School (just ask him!) and was inducted into their hall of fame. He retired from Whirlpool after 30 years, in Fremont and then Findlay, Ohio. Dick started his own business (Baron Industries) and coached hundreds of kids in baseball over the years at every level. Everyone loved Coach Baron. His American Legion baseball team won a national championship in 1971. His favorite times though were with family! Sitting around the table with family and friends, laughing, sharing stories, eating great food, and finishing it off with a good cup of coffee and a piece of Tootie's pie. That was the ending to a perfect day! And his life ended peacefully as he passed in his sleep at 92 years old with ESPN SportsCenter playing on the TV. The world will not be the same without Dick Baron. Cremation services entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dick’s name to Cody Wilson’s ministry, livingarmy.com, or Kurt Baron’s ministry, Vernel United Methodist Church Youth Ministries 3404, 3485 Highway 2, Cohutta, GA, 30710.
