September 15, 1960 - September 10, 2021
Lauri L. Wolf (60) peacefully passed away on September 10, 2021. Behind, she leaves a lifetime of academic achievements, a literary career milestone, and three beautiful children with impeccable writing skills to properly honor her in news publications. On paper, Lauri was a scholar: successful in her collegiate degrees, awarded as an established alumni by faculty at the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, and author of her memoir written using only her voice, The B.S of my M.S (available for purchase on Amazon). For twenty-two years, Lauri battled Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, which is the rarest form of the disease. Although the illness brought many physical and emotional challenges throughout the years, she proved that resilience, patience, and strength were the three main components that sustained a legacy. Beyond her time as a working Pharmacist, this independent force of nature continued to be a teacher to everyone in her life, and she reminded us of the importance of overcoming all odds—no matter how painful. Beyond her curriculum vitae and aside from the MS, Lauri was a woman of great taste—food, music, fashion - you name it. Flipping through her collection of personal photos, you'll see a free spirit with a flowing head of eighties hair and a heart full of joie de vivre. As a child from the sixties, she grew up during one of the most memorable decades of music, and she continued to explore her interest in the arts throughout her teen years. She spent many afternoons with fellow Summer of Love kids as they listened to vinyls with herbal refreshments, spent evenings at concert venues, and rocked out to tapes of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. As an adult, Lauri encompassed a look that constantly turned heads: standing tall in a sleek power suit, striking cheekbones that complimented her kind eyes, and was often accessorized with a strong drink resting perfectly in one hand—never to excess, but always earned. Lauri spent her final days in the comfort of her home with close friends and family, which was always her living wish. Her family will clear out her estate by the end of the month. If you or anyone you know is in need of handicap equipment, please contact us— Lauri wanted the tools to go to a good home. Lastly, if you've made it this far, do Mom a favor and pour yourself a nice cocktail. This journey has been extremely difficult for Lauri and loved ones, but it succeeded in reminding us to enjoy the sweet moments with those we hold close to our heart. Life is short, but there is always time for a martini — cheers! - Sophia Epitropoulos (28) daughter, Madison Wolf (23) daughter, Frank Thomas Epitropoulos (30) son.
