James was a graduate of Thomas Worthington High School (1993), The Ohio State University (B.A. English and Political Science (1999), and the Cardozo School of Law, New York City (2004). He was an attorney for Stull, Stull and Brody, New York City. James loved his sons and enjoyed spending time playing and engaging in outdoor activities with them. James also loved adventures. He went scuba diving off Costa Rica and Honduras (where he was almost robbed), went to Spain (without making hotel reservations), went rock climbing outdoors and indoors, rode his bike around the city, and tried hang gliding. He enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. for his job as an attorney, plus taking pleasure trips. He visited his cousin in Argentina, friends in England, went with his dad to Germany and Austria, and went to England and Mexico with friends. And he really enjoyed living in New York City with all of the restaurants and things to do there. James loved to think. He had a sharp mind, a quick wit, and a way with words, even wanting the two-volume Oxford English Dictionary as a Christmas present. He enjoyed talking politics and following what was going on in the world. He also enjoyed literature - many times liking non-mainstream authors that appealed mostly to English majors. He loved to debate and liked to talk - a lot. Visiting hours will be Friday, March 12, 5:00-7:00pm at Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, 6699 N High St, Worthington, OH 43085. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family will hold a private memorial service on another day.
