KRIER
Charles W. Krier, age 90, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Gertrude R. Krier. He is survived by his son, David C. Krier, wife Kyra A. Krier (nee) Acker and granddaughter, Kelly A. Krier of Dublin; daughter, Mary Alice Krier, grandson, Phillip Chester and granddaughter, Rebekah Chester of Gahanna; Niece, Judy Bellisari of Upper Arlington and nephew, Nick Krier of Colorado. Upon graduation from North High School in 1938 in Columbus, Charles worked for Armour & Company. In 1959 he was appointed to the ODNR Division of Watercraft and then to Assistant Chief in 1969. He retired from the City of Columbus Division of Engineering and Construction in 1984, after 12 years as Business Manager. He concurrently worked at Lazarus Northland Department Store for 20 years. His strong enthusiasm for life was evident during his 26 years of retirement. During this time he enjoyed life to the fullest through outdoor photography, traveling and hiking. Earlier, he competed in Beagle Field Trials. He will be sadly missed by his children and family. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL 5554 Karl Rd.
