Charles H. Karns, age 95, of Grove City, sunrise June 10, 1914, and sunset March 9, 2010. He is preceded in death by parents, Garnet and Sylvester Karns, wife, Margaret (Peggy) Karns, son Kenneth Karns, brother-in-law Tommy Righter, and special friends Saul Schottenstein, David Arick, James Hedrick Sr., and Howard Bauermeister. He is survived by niece Barbara (Clark) Moore of Texas, special family of the heart, friend and caregiver of many years, Shirley Arick and her children, Mark (Allena), Andrea (Sean) and all the grandchildren and many more family members of the heart. Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a machinist attached to the 972nd Engineer Maintenance Co. He worked for the B&C Corp of Barberton, OH for many years before retiring. He loved snow skiing with his many friends over the years and golfing with his good friend Saul Schottenstein. Special thanks to Charlie’s good neighbor’s Wally and Betty Sue Lewellyn, Jack and Ella Woods, Vinnie and Dawn Lewis, Don and Kathy Cardi for all they did for Charlie. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 18, 2010 from 4-8pm at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel where funeral service will be held at 1pm Friday March 19, 2010 with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Andrew Hoover Funeral Celebrant. Interment will be at Glen Rest Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. We Will Miss You Charlie.
