Unmasking the Mysteries: a CE programTuesday, May 16, 2017 : 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM
If you work in healthcare, you will not want to miss this program. It covers everything you ever wanted to know about death, dying, grief and bereavement, and resources. The class includes a tour of the casket/urn room and the cremation observation room. It also includes a demonstration of the body identification process using the Private Family Gathering method.
This program is approved for 1.5 continuing education contact hours including ethics.
At the conclusion of this program, counselors and social workers will be able to:
1. Describe 3 acceptable things to say or do for individuals or families mourning the death of someone special to them.
2. Describe 3 roles the funeral home plays in the grief and healing process.
3. Explain how economic factors affect decision-making for the financially challenged, and the ethical and moral treatment of this special population.

Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service is an approved provider of continuing education by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board, approval number RCS011301. Our commission expires March 2019. This program is approved for 1.5 continuing education contact hours including ethics. The Ohio Board of Nursing allows nurses to claim CE credits from a CE activity that has been approved by an agency that regulates a health care profession or discipline in Ohio.
