Bill Hoy presents Grief in the Workplace
Oct. 13, 2017 — 8:30am - 11:45pm

There is an unwritten expectation that anyone who works in end-of-life care should be able to manage grief from multiple losses, including the loss of patients/clients/residents as well as personal loss (such as a loved one). This program will examine how multiple losses can affect caregivers in the work environment, how to support co-workers as they work through their grief from personal or professional losses, and how to develop skills that will enable caregivers to effectively care for the families they serve while experiencing professional loss. Join us as William (Bill) Hoy, Clinical Professor of Medical Humanities at Baylor University examines the causes and effects of loss in the workplace and recommends tools to help navigate through multiple losses.
